Participate in Research Study; Voluntary
Developing a Culturally Responsive Substance Use Prevention Initiative in Wilmington, Delaware's Underserved Communities
This is a qualitative research study that is being conducted to gather expert
perspectives from professionals with experience in substance use prevention,
behavioral health, and related fields. The purpose is to explore professional insights.
through individual interviews.
This study does not involve any treatment, intervention, or therapeutic services.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE
You may be eligible if you:
Are 18 years of age or older. Have professional experience in one or more of the
following areas: Substance Use Prevention, Behavioral Health, Public Health, Social
Work, or Community Programming. Hold a master’s degree or higher.
Can speak in English fluently.
Exclusion criteria:
Individuals are currently or previously supervised by the researcher.
Individuals with a known conflict of interest with the researcher.
Individuals who have a family member in active treatment for substance use or mental
health services related to the study topic.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Participation Involves:
A brief, voluntary initial screening (by email or phone—not recorded).
A one-time Zoom interview conducted in English. Share professional perspectives
related to the study topic.
Commit approximately 45–60 minutes of time. No compensation is promised or implied.
You may withdraw at any time without penalty.

obligation to participate. Declining to participate or withdrawing at any time will result in no penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled.
